Listen to Music Free Online

Every website that streams music has its perks and pitfalls. For me, I hate that Pandora doesn’t allow me to skip a certain number of songs…why is the outdated Tatu on my Lady Gaga Radio anyhow? With Grooveshark, I love that I can pick the songs I want to listen to, but something should intervene with my obsession with Taylor Swift.

An alternative to these popular sites is Jango.com. Jango is one of the best ways to listen to free music on the Internet, it combines the radio style of Pandora and allows you to also create your own station. Jango is a social streaming radio. You can pick a genre, and Jango will play non-stop associated streaming music. You can rate each song you listen to, which begins to customize the station. The entire thing is free.

What sets Jango apart from other music websites is the ability to listen to other people’s stations around the globe. Once you create your personal station, you can listen to anyone and everyones station on Jango. People can also tune into your station. This opens all kinds of opportunity to find new music you may like. Jango takes music to a different and interactive level.

Listen to Music Free, The Social Online Music Site

Mixpod.com. If you like facebook then you will probably enjoy mixpod.com. All of the music available seems to come straight from youtube.  Of course with mixpod you can make your own playlist, it can save your playlists. You can share playlists on facebook and even tweet them. So what makes this different?

I guess people actually vote for songs that have been submitted. The more votes the higher they will show up in the playlist. It is a pretty cool concept if you ask me. And… because most songs come from youtube you get to watch the videos and listen to the music! Supposedly you can even create your own little widget that looks like an ipod that you can control your playlists.

Check it out and send me your playlists!

Listen to Music Free…Sorry, You can’t Skip…

Hey everyone out there. I am on my computer all day long and I am always listening to music. I started on Pandora. There were a lot of songs that didn’t play to the end. And I couldn’t get a specific song that I wanted to listen to. Then it would play a song that I hate and I wouldn’t be able to skip…

After a while I noticed that there was a radio player on AOL. This was nice because it reminded me of a traditional radio. I just pick my genre and we are good to go. This was nice because there were no expectations of being able to listen to a specific song. The only annoying part were the commercials but… This is radio right, internet commercials are a lot shorter than traditional radio so who cares right?

But then my little bro made fun of me for using aol radio. He actually told me that I was an idiot for wasting my time listening to music that I didn’t want to hear. He told me to go to grooveshark.com.

WOW! I can listen to what ever I want to. The exact song, the exact band, all of there songs, over and over again!!! I can skip songs and if I am lazy I can go ahead and just listen to a genre channel. It even has old school japanese punk bands like nicotine and potshots. So I am impressed and I agree with my brother. I was an idiot for wasting my time and not using the awesome services of Grooveshark to bring make me happy.

Check it out!
